The Green Rabbit:  A BOOK ABOUT SAFETY

I highly recommend Tami Principe’s book, ‘The Green Rabbit’, a book reminiscent of time honored children’s tales interwoven with truths regarding vital safety information - that may one day save your child’s life. It teaches children in a delightful and entertaining way with the same parenting skills once passed down from parents of old with more time and wisdom on their hands than money; and though today’s parents still care – there’s not always time to teach the obvious.  Tami goes yet one step further, updating ‘warnings’ unknown of in yesterday’s world. ~ John Borgstedt, author of, “I Love You Mom-Please Don’t Break My Heart.”

Finding Resolution:

Answers will come streaming in when you try to resolve an easy issue.  The bigger the issue, the answer gets a little more complex.  Sure, if we’re trying to lose weight or quit smoking we have a lot of options at our finger tips.  But, if we’re trying to find an end to homelessness, fight hunger or help those in need with mental issues, it is not that easy.  There are too many factors, too many scenarios.  But the fact that there are basic needs that aren’t being met is very scary and inhumane.

We, as a society, love our fur babies.  I have two dogs which I love, but I would never place the importance of my dog’s life before another human beings life.  There are more humane shelters than there are Domestic Violence shelters.  This is so sad and something I would love to see changed during my lifetime.

Can these issues be resolved?  Yes, I do believe they can be. You see, most places that help those in need are the Salvation Army, Churches and Food Pantry’s.  Most people get upset when their taxes get raised, where does that money go?  One place I know they go is in our prison system.  It is sad at this day and age when a person who has committed no crime has to go without food, warmth and medications, yet those who have committed heinous crimes are able to sleep in warmth, get their medications and not go hungry.  This absolutely makes no sense to me.

All Will Be All Right

During the best times of your life and during your moments of struggle, just know that all will be all right.  Just as sure as the sun shines and rain clouds appear, all will be all right.

Release Expectations

We all hold others in high regard.  When we give all of our love and devotion, we expect others to live up to the same expectations.  When we call others to catch up or to show our concern, we expect the same when we are going through things as well.

Our Differences

You are different than I am, or should I say that I am different than you are.    This is the one thing that we are so far from seeing and accepting, everyone’s differences.

An Overwhelming Abundance

You can have an abundance of love just as you might have an abundance of hard times.   “My cup runneth over,” means that I have abundance in my life.  We can look at how someone has abundance in; joy, love, friendship, wealth, status, spirituality, compassion, a state of being, knowledge, etc.   Each person is different, what is important to one person may not be as important to someone else.
