Weekly Topic

A new blog will be posted weekly.  My intent is to offer you hope and encouragement in happiness and during life’s struggles.  Life is so short and so precious.  I wish you love, happiness and prosperity every moment of everyday.

Be True To You

Our world is ever changing, always growing.  With everything that is going on in the world and how busy our daily life is, it is easy to lose apart of yourself.  It is easy to get lost in the crowd.

The important thing to remember is to always be true to you.  Wherever life leads you, always return to what keeps you grounded.  Life is so full of distractions.  When we are grounded, it enables us to see clearer and discover what our distractions are.  A distraction can be a good thing as long as it is temporary.

Release The Past

It is nice to visit the past every once in a while, but I would never want to live there.  It is very easy to spot those who do; their conversations will always start with, “Do you remember…?”  No new memories, just old ones.  No new friends, just old ones.

The universe brings people into your life; some of those people serve their purpose and then part ways.  Time never stands still; things are always changing, moving and evolving.  We are meant to move forward.  For some, they find it hard to move on.  Either extraordinary good times or devastating bad times have kept them in the past.  For some, who either don’t know how to dream or do not have any dreams it is a safe place to remain.

Giving Back

In a world of give and take it feels so good to be able to give something back.  When you give back, it doesn’t matter the amount or the size, it is based solely on the fact that you desire to make a positive contribution that will benefit someone or something.

Let’s take your job for example; you work to earn your paycheck.  It is so important to put extra time in or do extra work; I call it being grateful for your seat.  Sure, anyone could have that seat you sit in but you appreciate it by going the extra mile.  Sure everyone is expendable, but you come from a place of appreciation.  If you show your appreciation by doing more than what is expected it will come back to you in the form of rewards in all areas of your life.

A Dream

Always follow your dreams; you’ll never know where they will lead you.  Life is but a dream!   There are those who do not know how to dream or have forgotten how to dream, and we have those who continuously dream.  Whichever one you are in is fine; the main thing in life is that you are happy.

Let’s start with the dream~ a strongly desired goal or purpose.  What is it that you desire?  What is your purpose?  What will you do after you attain your goal?  When was the last time you had a dream?

Have you ever heard the term, “dream big?”  There is NO limit to what you can do or attain!  To put a limit on a dream is the same as putting a limit on your own capabilities.  Don’t be afraid to dream big, this is how far your mind can span!

You

You can, you are and you will become.  These are powerful affirmations that only you can make happen.  All you have to do is believe in yourself.

The Lessons

Every generation wants the best for the next generation to come.  You want to make sure that your children have everything that they need for the future.  The most valuable thing you can give them is the opportunity to learn their own lessons.

I remember at 5 years old putting groceries in people’s car at the local A & P in Harvey, IL for tips.  Most people tipped a quarter and I would treat myself to a package of hostess doughnuts, they were only a dime back then.  A few years later I used to go door to door selling newspaper subscriptions and I babysat after school followed by the work program at school at age 15.  It is ironic now that I look back, I do not recall any of it being part-time work, it filled all of my time after school and on the weekends.
